On Friday, December 5, students and faculty gathered to perform for the Winter Coffee House. The Coffee House kicked off with the Middle School Rock Band’s rendition of Queen’s Another One Bites the Dust, setting the tone for an energy-filled night of music. Another ensemble, the Upper School Rock Band, performed “Pool House” by The Backstreet Lovers, striking the audience with electric guitar solos and powerful vocals, backed by a steady drumbeat to capture an emotional piece. Although no other official BH ensemble performed, there were many other group performances, including Mr. Greg Schneider and his daughter, Avery, in addition to his solo Lady May by Tyler Childers. A second faculty member, Mr. George, played his own original piece, using a backing track while playing piano and synthesizer live. There will be another Coffee House in the Spring, to which all are welcome to perform or enjoy. The Panel would like to congratulate all the performers on their hard work and courage in performing!
