Belmont Hill homecoming was a tremendous success both on and off the fields which Connor Carson ’27 called “his favorite homecoming yet”. The Varsity and JV Cross Country teams kicked off the day at the Rockmeadow Course with victories over rival St. Sebastian’s by scores of 43-19 and 50-15, respectively. These wins improved the Varsity team’s record to 11-2 and the JV’s to 12-1, as of that point.
The Varsity Football team took on a talented Thayer team looking to bounce back from the tough loss to BB&N the previous week. The team led 14-0 at the end of the first quarter after touchdowns by Thomas Sheehan ’25 and Jack Barrett ’25. Another touchdown by Jack Barrett ‘25 and a rushing touchdown by Réis Little ’26 in the second half added to the lead. Belmont Hill closed out the game to win by a final score of 28-6. This victory improved the team’s record to 4-1.
Finally, the Varsity Soccer team won 3-0 against a competitive Brooks team. Jack Bartlett ’26 scored two goals and Emerson Walker ’25 added one on for the win. The win improved their record to 8-2-2. The JV team drew a strong Brooks side 1-1, leaving them at 9-0-2. The lone goal from Belmont Hill in the match came from Logan Marra ’26.
In addition to the fantastic performances on the field, the dining hall staff put out an amazing spread for fans to enjoy while watching the games. The Think Pink tent was also set up, and merchandise was handed out and sold to support breast cancer awareness and research.
