Lacrosse Playoffs

After a long, arduous journey, Belmont Hill Lacrosse has concluded its season. The team had an 11-2 record in ISL play, with a memorable 12-11 overtime victory over St. Sebastians and countless other well-fought wins. Though the team did not achieve its desired result in the playoffs, the year was far from a disappointment.

Despite entering into the ISL playoffs on a ten-game winning streak, Belmont lost heartbreakingly to Governor’s Academy with a final score of 11-12. However, determined to finish the season on a high note, the team emerged victorious over Lawrence Academy 15-7 and against Middlesex School 13-10 under the leadership of senior captains Charlie Cave ‘22 and Tom Goguen ‘22.

One member of the varsity team described their thoughts on the conclusion of the season: “Obviously, it wasn’t the outcome we were looking for, but we’ve got to look towards next season; We showed what Belmont Hill was capable of this year, and so we’ve just got to come back and do what we know we’re capable of for 2023.” Belmont Hill Lacrosse has wrapped up their stellar season in a respectable fashion, and the community can only wait to see what new high Belmont Hill Lacrosse will reach next year.
