The varsity soccer team faced both Rivers and Nobles during a strenuous week. At home, they tied 1-1 against Rivers on Wednesday. Leighton Dolan ‘19 scored to earn one point for the squad. On Saturday, they travelled to Nobles for yet another tough game. Emerging with another tie, 1-1, the team presented a solid performance. Having scored a header from a corner swing in by Diego Perreira ‘19, Matthew Savage ‘19 provided Belmont Hill’s sole goal of the game. Although the team did not win either of their games this week, they were not defeated, an achievement that deserves to be recognized. As the team presses forth in their preparations, they will hopefully start to score more and earn some well-deserved wins.
