Week #2 of Summer 2019 Snapshots

Alumnus Jackson Stone ’19 Makes US National Team for Crew Junior World Championships

Crew team captain Jackson Stone has achieved excellence once again by qualifying to race on the US Junior National Team at the 2019 World Rowing Junior Championships in Tokyo, Japan. Jackson has led an extremely successful rowing career both at Belmont Hill and beyond. This past spring season, he led the team to victories in the Founders’ Day Regatta, the New England Championship, and NEIRAs (New England Interscholastic Rowing Association Championships).

Jackson has taken part in the annual Head of the Charles Regatta both with Belmont Hill and in the Directors’ Challenge with his mother.

Selection for the US Junior National Team is extremely competitive, and requires athletes to attend the US Rowing U19 Camp. Having made the team, Jackson is slated to row at the Junior World Championships from August 7th-10th this summer in Tokyo, competing against the best rowers in the world.

Belmont Hill is extremely proud of all of its athletes, and the Panel would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to Jackson for this amazing achievement. We wish him well this summer in Tokyo, and next year as he furthers his rowing career at Cornell University.

Please share your summer updates, whether your traveling, working, or at home with the Panel by emailing Abe Tolkoff at tolkoffab@belmonthill.org.

Thanks so much and enjoy your summer.
