Spring Accomplishments and ISL Championships

With the Spring season now over, Belmont Hill has had a wildly successful athletic season. The track team capped a successful regular season with a dominant ISL championship. With Belmont Hill being the host of the ISL championships, the boys were ready to compete on their home ground. This was the Track team’s 19th ISL Championship. They finished with 108 points, followed by Nobles with 61, showing their strong strength of victory. Main accomplishments from the season include Justin Li ’26 breaking the 110 Meter Hurdles school record twice throughout the course of the season, which was a truly remarkable feat. With the new record of 14.88 Seconds, Justin has set an incredibly high bar for the boys to try and conquer in future seasons. At the ISL championships, key wins by Belmont Hill boys include Justin Li in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.90, Adonai Samuel ’26, who won the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.13, and Nick Fiumara ’26, who won the Discus throw.

The golf team had a strong regular season, tying with Tabor for the ISL dual meets Regular Season. Despite a hard fought battle at the end of year at the Kingman Tournament, the boys finished in third place at Renaissance Golf Club, marked by a round of 72 by Joey Monahan ’28 and a round of 73 by Derrick Katz ’30. This was a solid performance to end an already impressive championship season.

The Panel congratulates the track and field and golf team on their Championship seasons, and also congratulates all other teams on their successful seasons.
