Belmont Hill Celebrates Another Successful PWAP

On April 9th, Belmont Hill held its annual Party With a Purpose (PWAP) fundraiser with over 800 attendees from a wide array of schools, including Belmont Hill, Winsor, Dana Hall, Rivers, and NCDS. Collectively, the event raised tens of thousands, one of the largest events since its creation. Daniel Drucker ’23, Ethan Sidman ’24, and Leo Montoya ’23 helped organize this year’s amazing event along with the help of faculty member Mr. George.

This year’s event boasted a variety of activities for participants to enjoy, including cornhole, karaoke, ping pong, spikeball, and bouncy castles. This year also brought back the much anticipated inflatable Toxic Meltdown machine.

While the wide range of activities were enjoyed by all, the real highlight of PWAP is always seeing the smiles on the faces of the kids as they enjoy their special night. Once the kids arrive, they first receive a VIP tour of the Jordan to decide where they want to spend their time. Then, after enjoying the activities with their chaperone, the kids head into a basketball gym for the opening ceremony, where they are met by a red carpet surrounded by kids from other schools.

Once again, this year’s PWAP was a remarkable success, giving many guests the spotlight that they deserve, while also donating money to charity in the process. PWAP had a special effect once again, not only for the kids that the event supports, but also for everyone who attended the event. Every year PWAP shines an exceptional light on the Belmont Hill community and what we are capable of doing, as well as how we support one another and this year was no exception. The Panel congratulates all those who contributed to the event and know they will continue such efforts in the future.
