BH Lacrosse Plays IMG Academy

On April 15 Belmont Hill competed in lacrosse against IMG Academy in one of the many games IMG is playing on their trip to the northeast. The Belmont Hill varsity lacrosse team is one of the most highly talented and successful teams that Belmont Hill has. IMG Academy is one of the premier high school sports schools in the country, ranking in the top 25 in almost every sport. IMG is a school in Florida that is primarily athletically focused and recruits many top athletes across the country.

The BH boys started hot, jumping out to a 7-2 lead. Unfortunately, a late rally by IMG gave them the win in a highly fought, close battle that ended 9-8. On the Belmont Hill side, senior Lafayette-commit Ben DiBattista ’24 scored five goals, and junior UVA-commit Preston Evans ’25 scored four goals. Juniors UVA-commit Linden Verville ’25 and Brady Boudreau ’25 both tallied a goal, and Dylan Casillo ’26 found the back of the net. Although the team did not achieve the result they wanted, it was an incredibly competitive game and the Belmont Hill lacrosse team still looks to have a very successful season.
