After last week’s loss against BB&N, the Varsity Football team bounced back with the force of a steamroller. On Wednesday the JV locker room took on BB&N’s JV squad and beat them in decisive 28-0 game. The Junior Knights employed the bold strategy of not bringing a punter and trying to convert every 4th down, which did not play out well for them.
Last Saturday the Varsity team played a home game against Tabor. Most of the starters were taken out at halftime during this 37-0 rout of the Seawolves, allowing us to see more of our beloved second string players and JV stars than just Wednesday’s game. We saw action from backup quarterbacks Dan Madden and Luke Bobo, linebacker and punter/kicker Tim Brown, and many other bright young talents coming up the pipeline to be showcased in future seasons. The boys are celebrating these two victories for now, but will soon get back to work, preparing for next Saturday’s game against Milton Academy, at home in The Jungle. Be there.
