Senior Assasin Takes Over

Directed by the Form V Senate, the Senior Assassin Game returned to Belmont Hill this spring. The tradition is an activity that the senior class looks forward to as they enter their final semester on the hill. The game is a last-man-standing water gun battle with an optional buy-in, beginning mid-April once the weather has warmed up. On April 13th, William Skordos ’27, Rylan Flynn ’27, and Charlie Rubel ’27 released the first round of assassin targets, and the game commenced.

As tracked through the events Instagram account, the first day began with three eliminations, as Tiago Matos ’26, Finn Kilbride ’26, and Nick Fiumara ’26 fell to their respective assassins. Targets continued to be carried out, whether through car drive-bys, secret betrayals, or cornering at work. As the pool dwindled, those few committed to the game would be seen with their squirt gun of choice on hand at all times.

Assassinations were, of course, off limits during school hours; however, one rule, enacted by the form V representatives, kept the players on their feet: the purge, a period of unrestricted targeting on campus, which claimed eight victims its first time around. The second round, offering new targets, began on April 26th, and two seniors fell that day: Jack Dragoumanos ’26 and Sam Lawrence ’26. After Adonai Samuel ’26 and Cam Kelly ’26 found and took down their targets in the early days of May, a strong final four remained.

Ultimately, Polo Brice ’26 emerged on top of the pack as he took down his target, Cam Kelly, and claimed victory in this year’s rendition of Senior Assassin. The tradition brought a competitive environment that both increased tensions within, yet brought the graduating class closer together in their final remaining weeks on the hill. With thanks to the Form V representatives for organizing such a successful game, we hope it returns in full force for the rising seniors next spring.
