On Friday, April 10th, the Coffee House performance brought students and teachers together for an exciting evening of live music. Held in the Kraft Theatre, performers took the stage to showcase a wide variety of musical styles and talents. Students performed songs ranging from Bob Dylan to Bruno Mars, while Mr. Schneider also joined in with a performance of Randy Newman’s “Feels Like Home.”
A number of music groups performed as well, including the Upper School and Middle School rock bands, who both performed energetic sets, including a memorable tune from the Allman Brothers. Other memorable performances included a duet by Morgan Rich ’27 and Beckett Britt Webb ’27, who MC’ed the Coffee House with Zach Park ‘28, Ikem Anyanwu ’28, Alex Black ’26, and Trey Clayton ’26’s brilliant solos as members of the B-Flats group, along with a piano-saxophone duo with Brandon Li ’26 and TZ Snail ’26, and a sentimental performance of “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright” by JJ Pena ’26.
This Coffee House was especially emotional for the senior class, as it was one of their final opportunities to perform in front of their peers before graduation. TZ Snail ’26 shared that he has performed in every coffee house since 8th grade, reflecting on how much the event means to him. The seniors collectively thanked Mr. Fiori and Mr. Patterson for the continued encouragement and support, emphasizing the welcoming environment that has helped them grow as musicians.
The Panel would like to congratulate all the performers and thank all of the students and parents who came to support!
